I have a Peloton bike plus and an Apple Watch 8. After a recent Peloton software update the watch stopped communicating with the bike’s screen. When the connect to watch comes on the screen after starting a ride, and after hitting the confirm on watch, the watch opens the activity app, but does not talk to the screen.

When I spoke with Peloton, today, I was told it is an apple update problem.

I’ve had a similar problem and sometimes if I moisten the skin under my watch, it starts communicating. Similar to a chest heart rate monitor.

The Apple Watch uses an optical mechanism to read your heart rate, not electrical like a chest HRM where moisture would help. likely was just coincidental that worked.
