Bike+ owners - are you happy with your bike?

Hi,
Have had a Peloton bike for a couple years and it's been great. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Bike+ but I've been holding off due to the quality issues I've been seeing from some people.

If you own a Bike+ are you happy with it? If you upgraded are you glad you did it early rather than waiting?
Thanks!

Hi! I have had my bike for 5 years and decided to get the +. I have had it for a few weeks. It is a really nice machine. Honestly pretty similar to the original which is pretty cool that they didn't change it up too much. It feels a lot different to me, even the seat feels different, probably just because Im just so attached to mine after all these years. I have realized I don't use the auto follow resistance feature (I like to take mostly live rides and its not available on them) or the apple watch feature, the speakers sometimes don't sound that great. I have gotten back on my old bike and think Im going to return and just get a new "original" bike. I know Im probably the only one who feels this way but I decided because I do its not worth the extra money for features I don't use. If your gonna use them Im sure its well worth the $600 more.

I can't speak for the original Bike, but I've had a Bike+ since Oct, and I love it. I was a Peloton skeptic at first, but now I'm a believer and use the thing like every day. The only issue I've dealt with is whenever the Bike+ is powered down or restarted after an update, it has issues with the WiFi dropping in and out. However, this resolves itself in about 20-30 mins and no WiFi issues as long as I keep the Bike+ plugged in and it doesn't have to restart. (Maybe the WiFi antenna power needs time to "settle in"?). I do like the new features of the Bike+ and use them frequently; the rotating screen, the auto-follow with on demand rides, etc. Will warn you that I've heard many stories, including on this forum, that the Bike+, due to it's digital auto-calibration, is "tougher" than the original Bike and your metrics will be off (usually significantly) if your original Bike is not manually calibrated properly.

Jessica: I, too, had an original Peloton bike for about 5 years and upgraded to the Bike+. I did not find the new features worth the extra $$. Also, the weight rack on the new bike was plastic and seemed cheap. Also calibration issues. I have returned it and got a new old version and I am very happy with it. Delivery, refunds, all were great. I only had to wait 2 weeks for my new bike.

SueAnn, Im so glad Im not the only one! They picked up the + on Monday and now I wait for my "new" old bike on 1/27. The bike I have now still working perfectly so dont mind waiting, Another reason I decided to stick with the kind I have, have not had 1 issue with it since day one. See ya on the leaderboard!
I had the original bike since June 2019 and switched to the bike + about a month ago. To me, it was worth it but it does take a little getting used to. I do a lot of on demand rides and LOVE the auto follow. It is really an amazing feature because it is so accurate so it doesn’t fly past the resistance number you’re trying to get to. Also, I am really into the music in the rides and the sound is superior on the +. The rotating screen is really nice but, it isn’t as important to me because I can just as easily screen to my tv. I do think it is worth the extra $$ but, I can see both sides of it.

I'm in the same boat - happy with my original bike which is working fine. Will probably upgrade in 2021 but want to make sure they've worked out the kinks. I'll probably keep my original bike and sell it once I'm sure the new one works well as I'm sure I can get more than the $700 for the trade in and our family will go nuts if we are without a functional Peloton for any period of time:)

From what I've heard, I'm guessing my output will be lower but if that's more accurate than so be it!

The auto follow feature and syncing with my Apple watch are pretty cool. I plan to upgrade soon. It's also good to have the latest and greatest tablet as I'm sure some of the features they will add won't work with the old bike. It's a lot of money but for something we use all the time it's worth it.
A regular bike typically has a resistance level of 1-20, while Peloton bikes range from 0 to 100 Those who are concerned about stubborn fat such as the stomach, arms, or back may not make much progress on a regular spin bike. . I think Peloton's biggest competitors are My Fitness, Equinox/SoulCycle home bike, NordicTrack and Echelon All of these bikes have large touchscreens and live/on-demand fitness classes, so they all bring you closer to the Peloton experience Peloton bikes are high-tech bikes with high-resolution touchscreens and Wi-Fi capabilities. The flywheel is nearly silent, and the easy-to-use resistance knob can be adjusted just one percent at a time Think about the coolest indoor exercise machine you've ever seen in a gym I think indoor cycling is expensive, stationary cycling can be repetitive and boring, there is no fresh air outside and indoor cycling takes up floor space. One of the main downsides to indoor cycling is that it can get repetitive and boring, especially if you train at home. There are several bike paths outside the park. You can look at the scenery and no two rides are the same On the other hand, quick; efficient; Pleasure. Excellent brakes; erect; difficult; universal, fast; convenient; practical Cycling improves overall lower body function and strengthens leg muscles without putting extra strain on the joints Targets quads, glutes, hamstrings, and calves Dirt biking gives you different scenery, fresh air and a lot of different things. I just want to say that cycling on the road is better than cycling indoors. There are many bikes to choose from.

I have the peloton + and really like the auto follow, a lot of the live rides times don’t suit me and the odd one I’ve done I miss having auto follow as you lose this facility. The large swivel screen is great for off the bike classes. I guess it’s how much you value these thinks relative to the cost of the bike plus?
