Bike seat post recall

Apparently original purchasers of the bike received a recall notice regarding a defective seat post. I have had to replace my seat post twice due to it being defective. I contacted Peloton today and was informed that even though the part is defective, I would not be reimbursed for my cost to replace the defective part in the past. VERY VERY POOR customer service IMHO.
