To Replace the Circuit Breaker - first turn off the power switch at the front of the base and unplug the power cord.
Next, you will need to remove 2 cover pieces on each side of the Base where the Stanchion connects (#1 and #2 in the picture), the front cover on each side (#3 in the picture), the primary front cover (#4 in the picture) and lastly the cover that holds the breaker, power cable and power switch pictured in the 2nd picture.
Note: 1, 2 and 3 must be done on both sides.
Tools Needed - Flat Head Screw Driver
2.5mm Allen Key (aka Allen Wrench, aka Hex Key)
Here is the Order:
#1 - Lower Stanchion Cover - there is small slot to allow a flathead screwdriver to be inserted to pop off the cover. Be careful not to break the cover.
#2 - Lower Cover #2 these are held in place by 2 bolts. Unscrew with the 2.5mm Allen Key.
#3 - Front Cover - this is held on by one bolt.
#4 - Primary Front Cover - This is held on by 2 bolts.
#5 - Remove the 5 bolts holding in the Power Cord Connection, Power Switch and Breaker (see picture below). Be careful when you remove this to not pull out the connections to the power cord connection, power switch or breaker. Make sure you take note of the location of the wires for the breaker. There are 2 black wires, one connected to the Line Terminal, the other Connected to the Load Terminal.
Unscrew the nut holding the breaker in place, pull the breaker out of the cover, disconnect the wires (might be best to do them 1 at a time and re-connect to new breaker as you go making sure you connect Lint to Line and Load to Load)
Then just put everything back together in reverse order.
