Crank arm replacement

Trying to replace left crank arm. Removed pedal and outside bolt. Attached extractor and turning in opposite direction and it won't budge. The video looks so simple. I had to replace arm b/c pedal bolt sapped off inside the crank arm and I can't get it out. Anyone run into this?
