Hi all,

45/m from Kansas City area; I have been watching the Peloton experience from afar, and decided to give this a go. Couldn’t make the numbers work for a full fledged bike, but got to the Google and tracked down some solid MacGyver tips to get as close as possible. Enjoying the content, which is the real secret sauce IMO. Open to any tips/advice on anything Peloton; hope to see some of you on the boards some day!

Welcome Frank! Sounds cool. Before I bought a bike I used an ipad mounted on a regular spin bike and the peloton digital app.

To start out, I'd say:
-try to workout as often as possible
-vary the intensity - don't go for a PR every day or you'll be sore and burn out
-for me adding a 5 minute warm up ride, 5 minute cool down ride and 5 minute post ride stretch help me recover

Do you have any specific goals or are you just looking to get in better shape?

My leaderboard name is Sprichy if you want to follow me.

Hi Stefon,

Thanks for the ping! Right now just looking to get in better shape/target weight loss. I’ve been trying a variety of instructors’ classes to see who does what, and how/what style. So far so good; have not encountered anyone that I haven’t liked yet. Best time for me to ride is in the morning; today was a 30 min advanced beginner, 10 minute cool down, 20 minute scenic ride, and 5 minute stretch. Tried my first meditation last night; seemed like a great way to end the day. Still figuring the app out; feel like a kid in a candy store...I’m at frankcjames. Will look for you. Happy new Year!
