Feel like I’m not progressing…?

I’ve been using my Peloton bike now for over a month and I am a bit disappointed on the toll it has taken on my body and mind. I bought the bike to help get into shape but I find I am more tired than I was before I got it. I started doing 20-30 minute classes around noon during my lunch breaks but had to switch to before bedtime because I would just be so tired it made getting through the rest of my day difficult— I literally need to just go straight to bed after even just doing a 20 minute class. And like I said, I’ve had it for a month now and I feel like I’ve not made much process— still just as winded as Day 1. I have used it everyday with no breaks (I am on a 42 day streak) I don’t understand why my body hasn’t build up the strength to handle it by now. I use it so much that I’ve literally been having dreams about riding it! I also always get low scores—- my highest is 125 for 30 minute beginner ride. I just feel like I’m not cut out for it. Has anyone experience the same and found something that helps?

Im a novice peloton rider but former professional coach.
Progression typically requires demand/work (the exercise), good nutrition and effective recovery.

Nutrition aids recovery and recovery aids progress,

I d suggest you look the rest and nutrition aspect of your training because that may be the cause of your plateau.

The good news is that a fee rest days a week may help resolve the issue. Good luck 🤞

I encourage you consult with your medical doctor to ensure you're healthy enough and safe for an exercise routine. I'm new to Peloton and would never even think of describing my initial sessions as taking a toll on my body or my mind. Ensure your healthy enough to exercise first.

You're knackered. No way should you be using the bike every day. Take a few days off and then start again try to find a routine that allows recovery. At least one day off the bike a week.
The classes are HARD. It will get better but not easy. For months I felt the same way but I'm stronger now - almost 1-year. I would feel like I need to fall off the bike onto the floor to sleep! You need to add rest days though. If you are set on protecting your streak, try a stretch class on the days you don't ride. Try a yoga class on the weekend.
I agree with the other posts. It sounds like you actually may be over training. I would mix in some other types of workouts like yoga, take days off, include low impact rides, etc. I also would try not to focus too much on the numbers - if you're breaking a sweat and getting a workout that's a good thing.
