I seem to recall an announcement from Peloton within the last few months about a four or six week program designed to assess new riders’ fitness level and measure your progress from start to finish. Now I can’t find it anywhere. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Am I remembering this correctly?

I don't recall this one. They had some emails with various kinds of workouts for the week.

One thing you might be thinking of is Power Zone Training programs. You measure your FTP and then follow programs based on your own personal power zones relative to the FTP. Maximize Your Workouts: Power Zone Training FAQs | The Output

Could that be what you're thinking of?

I do believe they have a great opportunity to offer personalized training programs like what you're looking for.
