I think the instructors are great, but I really wish they would have classes that have minutes-long periods where you just ride and listen to the music. Some of them feel the need to talk literally the whole time and it makes it hard to get into the ride. Everyone I talk to feels the same way so wondering why there is not a whole section of classes that feature this?
I totally agree with you I bought this bike to work out and train I don’t need therapy sessions I don’t need dance lessons I don’t need to hear about their past family things. They talk too much . The female instructors tend to be the worst. Peloton has received many complaints on this but I don’t think they really care. I don’t think there’s one class that you can actually do without getting some kind of storytelling. What they need to add to the bike is where you can push a button and tone out the instructors altogether but hear the music. And it would be great to see what the instructors are actually peddling. With so much chitchat and they have some classes going extreme speed and cadence I really can’t believe that half of them are doing the same.

What they need to do since they feel the need to talk about stuff I really don’t care about since I’m on the bike to workout, not get a lesson on life experiences or how to clear my mind ( working out does that when you don’t have to hear really stupid stuff) but have an option to push a button to completely mute the instructor but hear the music. They have the button now to lower the instructor’s voice, but damn you still hear them. And shout outs??? Are you working out to hear “good for you 500 rides”? C’mon folks do you really need that inspiration to work out harder?
