I am fairly new to peloton but I tried a maximum sprint for fun and the cadence seems to get stuck on 199. Is my machine faulty or are they supposed to stop there? I know it is not sensible training but just wanted to see what I could get it to.

Peloton recommends to never exceed 120 cadence, so I have never attempted to go over it. Another reason is that I don't like the feeling of the pedals moving my feet as opposed to the other way round, and when going at high cadence with low resistance, that is the feeling I get.
