So last night my Internet went out during a storm and this morning I was ready to ride at 8am but the Internet was still out. I thought for sure the bike would still let me ride and look at my metrics while I played my own music, but NO! The bike won’t even function as a simple exercise bike without the Internet? Isn’t this more than a little disturbing? Do I own this bike or is it just a coat rack unless the company can OK me to use it? How am I supposed to use it if society as we know it goes through a restructuring phase and the Internet gets shut off? I know, I know, that’s about as likely as a some kind of global pandemic, but still...

Yeah, it does suck when the power goes out. I've experienced that multiple times. If the home internet goes down and you have a decent hotspot from a phone that can work in a pinch just watch your data overages.
