Original Bike - Fixing Power Issue

The power cord that runs through the bike frame seems to have broken. I have the original bike. I went through trouble shooting on the phone and a tech came out. They say I need a new frame and that will cost around $1000. Still have not paid off the bike so seems ridiculous to buy almost an entire new bike for one cord. It looks like I should be able to connect a power cord to the two cables that connect to the sensor. Has anyone done this before? Any advice? Even if I run a power cord along the outside of the bike, it would be better than spending $700+ on a refurb or new frame. . . . it looks like the two wires that connect to the sensor are basic midi cables. . . . Thanks for any advice.
