Outdoor Classes

I have had my Peloton for three days now and definitely love it. We tried a Pro Form bike with I Fit for a couple of weeks before the Peloton, but the screen kept shutting off, but when it worked I really liked I Fit. I wou,d do one studio ride and one outdoor ride each dayOu. The outdoor rides still had instructors and we knew the cadenence and resistance we needed just like the classes. I enjoyed both mountain biking and road biking. Any chance Peloton will add some outdoor classes?

Welcome! When you say outdoor classes do you mean the classes are instructor led on the tablet but the scenery on the tablet is outdoors or that they actually give you instruction via an app while you are riding a bike outside?
I'm not familiar with ifit but I don't think Peloton will do any instructor led outdoor cycling classes due to liability around collisions, cars, etc. They do instructor led outdoor classes for running and walking.

Instrctor lead classes on the tablet, but the instructor is actually outdoors on different terrain.
Well, I Fit appears to have no problem with it! Especially the mountain bike trails-no cars at all!

I see. I don't know of any plans for Peloton do to something like that but I agree that it's a good idea. The "scenic" rides on Peloton have nice scenery but are generally a bit weak IMO and there's no variation of terrain based on how fast you'd be going.

I'd be interested in that - virtual outdoor rides led by instructors as an alternative to the studio classes

That would be awesome. I am sick of the indoor classes especially with the pandemic. I have iFit for my treadmill and LOVE it. Makes it hard to get on my bike. I love the Peloton trainers but I need a change of scenery.
