Curious to hear other people’s opinions. When the instructor finishes the ride with 1 or so minutes remaining for cool down, do riders keep riding hard or is the ride over? I ask because I’m noticing riders are taking advantage (in my view) by riding as hard to increase their output ranking. Not cool especially if your neck and neck with somebody.
Not a big deal but curious to hear people’s thoughts! My opinion is they’re cheaters 💯😂

The way I see it. Everyone has the opportunity to keep pushing if they want. If Leaderboard is your goal, push hard the entire workout, beat your personal goals and push until the timer reaches zero.... If you want to follow the instructor, stay in their recommended cadence, that's cool too....But you won't be hitting the top of the leaderboard. There is such a wide range of skills and ability, it would be silly to assume that someone who is super fit needs to keep the same cadence and output as me, who has 3 rides under my belt. If someone doesn't like people rocketing higher on the leaderboard....and you want to be there...go for it!

I'll push harder than a cool down at the end if I have a chance to best a PR. But I don't worry about other riders and the leaderboard. In regards to the Peloton bikes, I compete against myself, and also it's well know that many bikes are not calibrated properly, which gives some riders insanely high metrics. I have a Bike + and I know my bike is digitally calibrated, but even that could be slightly off from bike to bike.
