So I've been reading some subreddits claiming that many at-home installers don't know how to calibrate the bike properly. In the studio classes, the bikes are recalibrated roughly every ten days, so adjustments may be made as you begin to climb in rides. You should be given recalibration tools during the initial delivery and setup. Be sure to ask for them.

If the bike is setup properly from the initial delivery, its not something you should have to do for at least several months. Could also depend on the level of classes you're doing and how aggressive they are. Use the resistance and cadence gauges to determine if things are off.

The social aspect is likely something that a lot of people will prefer, and its easier to spend more money over a longer period of time, rather than all upfront. On a trial basis a studio session could be the deciding factor in buying one for home use.
