We are trying to find a Peloton Tread+ for sale because we are not concerned about the recall due to negligence and the company had placed basic safety procedures for consumers to follow but Peloton will not sell us one nonetheless. If anyone has one they want to sell that is gathering dust, would be interested in discussing a reasonable purchase price. Kids are about to go to college in our family so we aren't trying to pay full price for one even if it wasn't recalled. Thanks

That might be a difficult ask for two reasons. First, you would need to be located reasonably near a seller of a Tread+. As the Tread+ weighs in at about 500 pounds. Extremely sturdy machine. Second, locating a Tread + this (2022) year with a resale price less than the original sales price would be highly unusual. As for example in my personal case, . . . Peloton will take back my Tread+ at anytime thru early November for a full refund. So there is simply no incentive for a Tread+ owner to sell one for less than the original purchase price. Nonetheless, good luck in the search. The Tread + is IMO amazing.

in the interest of keeping Peloton Forum members safe . . . here is a link to an article in The Washington Post. (Presume to be accurate and reliable.) According to The Washington Post: “It is illegal to sell a product that has been recalled.” FYI.
