So the Peloton Bike has been set at $1,995 which includes on demand video streams and unlimited account creations. I have also seen there are subscription fees for video access? $39/month or $468 for a year. $250 delivery charge/set up too. All in you could be looking at a $2,500 machine.
So upon doing a bit more research I have found that Peloton offers a decent payment model for anyone looking to finance. Their no interest payment plan is around $59 a month (over 39 months), which is comparable to what most people would spend on a gym membership.
Financing a brand new Peleton is great but waiting for near years resolutions to lose their appeal and some buyers looking to sell their Peleton, it might result in a lot of cheap but lightly used models. I suggest looking their first.
I've been looking into finanacing and think that's the best route to go. Unfortunately they've only got a 30 day money back guarantee, so that's not a lot of time to decide if its worth the investment to you.
Its a big investment and there are much more approachable models out there. But when you compare it to what you'd spend on a gym membership in a year ($800) a year, it will start to pay for itself in due time.
On that point on gym memberships... condos are going up faster than ever and most have gym's of their own that are good enough to make you cancel any existing gym membership. Its a small incentive that reaps big rewards for this condo builders, much like other amenities.
Its a big investment up front, that will save you money in the long run. It may be worthwhile to sign up for one of the studio classes before making a purchase to get a better sense of what the bike and live classes are like.
