Samsung Galaxy Watch HRM data in the Peloton app

Hi all,

Have recently built a spin bike to test the waters prior to investing in the full Peloton experience.

I have an iPad Pro which has the latest Peloton app installed on it, I have successfully been able to import/include cadence data from a Wahoo cadence sensor.

I am attempting to add heart rate data from my Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, I have installed the Peloton Wear OS app on the watch, which advises to start a workout.

At this point I start a Peloton class on my iPad, and attempt to add the above mentioned watch, unfortunately the iPad doesn't seem able to find the watch.

Am I doing something silly wrong, or have I run into compatibility issues ?

Cheers, Vaughn.

Have you tried this app on your Samsung to send your heart rate via Bluetooth to the iPad? BLE Heart Rate and Running Speed Transmitter for indoor training apps such as Zwift or Arcade Fitness - Apps on Galaxy Store

You probably need to go into the ipad BT settings and connect the watch first.
Thanks for the reply.

I have tried this, unfortunately - it would seem the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (at the very least) will not pair with anything else other than a Samsung mobile phone.

I think I may look into casting the phone to my LG Oled TV, and then run the Peloton app. Not ideal, but a solution none the less.
I think I have found a solution, a 3rd party app which converts my Watch 5 Pro HRM to Ant+

I have tested, and the watch HRM does seem to be imported into the Peloton app to.
