I have a question for the forum...I have some challenges with my hip and my doc says that treadmills are essentially useless and that I'd be better off on a gym floor...not because of the recovery journey for my hip but because treadmills only allow you to exert 50% of the energy you would if you walked the earth. He says it'll be another 18mo before I will run again but I'm ok with that because in the past I was told I would never run again by other specialists.
I've enjoyed doing just the incline walk classes until I'm cleared to do more and this recommendation to get rid of the tread is really troubling to me.
Any thoughts/recommendations on if I should get rid of it? I understand the value of gym floor workouts however getting to the gym is not always feasible as a mom. I'd love the thoughts of other Peloton enthusiasts on this.
