Happened to us too. Received an automatic update this morning and as soon as if finished no response from the touch screen. Did the chat help, walked through factory reset, told I needed to buy a new screen. How are they allowed to run this scam on so many people?
That's just insane! Do you have a bike or bike+ ... and how old is it?

This just happened to us 2 days ago as well. We've had our bike for 14 months (2 months out of warranty). It has less than 200 rides, and I was told that there is nothing they can do. We will need to buy a new touchscreen for $488 CAD + tax.

Hmmm interesting. A little different type of screen problems just occurred with mine as well. The screen error states there is a problem and to restart. I can still navigate around, but the login screen flashes and disappears. I’ve called support, and after minimal troubleshooting and wasted time, they told me I need to replace the screen. My warranty just expired a couple of months ago. Such BS. Regrettably, I could have spent my wasted money on a portion of liposuction instead.

I've had my Bike+ about 14 months.
Having similar screen issues others have noted here in this thread. I don't recall a recent software update, but I noticed the screen coming on by itself, also was unresponsive to touch, until rebooted. The bike worked fine after a reboot but slowly exhibited touch screen issues over time.
My issue was the very top 1/4 inch and bottom 1/4 inch (where all the menus are) was unresponsive, but the center of the screen was fine. I was able to go into the settings and enlarge the screen, which made the bottom menu large enough to be in the working part of the screen, but the enlarged view was obnoxious. I contacted tech support, we reset the bike, factory reset, etc... nothing worked.
Of course I am at 990 rides, and 2 months out of warranty. :/
I broke down and purchased a replacement screen, I figure I use the bike enough to justify the $650 expense. Ouch!

So I have the replacement screen installed now and it works fine. Yay.

What the heck do I do with my non-working screen now?

Is there somewhere that will refurb it so I can sell it?

And you didn't buy the extended warranty? shame. Pretty much highly recommended as you'll find on many of the members pages such as Facebook.

Has anyone had any success in a positive outcome in getting this resolved?
I did a reboot to the android boot menu, told it to run update from an SD card (which gave an error since there is no SD card in the slot) and then did a reboot from that menu. The screen worked when it came back on, but the next time it went to sleep or shut off, it would be unresponsive when I started it back up. However that boot menu trick continues to work.
