I've had this issue also, had problems with recurrent UTIs when I was younger but haven't had one for years until, voila, got a Peloton. The key is to clean the area before riding, just with a regular bathroom wipe, and more importantly, urinate after you ride to flush out the bacteria. Stay hydrated and pee alot to keep bacteria flushed out. Hope this helps. :)
