So as everyone might know its my first time stepping away from the more basic spin bikes you can find at department stores and into this new league. I was introduced to Peloton by a friend and ever since its been my main and only point of view. So that being the case i'm hoping to get feedback from members that have tried the other APPs out there like Zwift, Cyclecast, Studio Sweat, Sufferfest and so on, and of course why they're here on a Pelonton forum.
I gave the 7 day trial of the Zwift a try, but found it to be a bit too overcomplicated. The set up process was way too involved, as you are forced to connect your bike, power meter and a heat rate monitor just to get going. I did like the online competition aspect though as you race against other riders in a virtual setting.
Pricing seems to vary quite a bit between all these different on demand cycling apps. The cheapest seems to be around $10 a month while the more pricey ones can be nearly double that. Any decent free ones out there that aren't livestream?
Zwift is has the least commitment from what i've seen, no contract is a bonus.
To note however is TrainerRoad is essential
