What's top 20-min FTP score ?

Does anyone know range of average watts during Wilpers 20-min FTP test for top 10 best Peloton riders?

I was happy to make top 2.5% with 305 average watts on the FTP test.....which was brutal.

Just wondering what the monsters do in terms of average watts at the top of the leader board?

Thanks,

ES

How do you actually do the FTP test? Thanks

You can read about the test before taking on the Peloton Bike. Just screen for 20-minute classes under Matt Wilpers and you'll see it. Hit start and pedal as hard as you can for 20-mins straight.

I don't remember but can you see the leaderboard when you're taking an FTP test? If you looked at all time as opposed to "here now" you should be able to see the top scores?

I think 305 is pretty far up there. One note about Peloton is that the bikes, especially the older ones, have a lot of variation in cadence so it's not 100% apples to apples.

Here's an article on FTP among a set of cyclists How does your cycling power output compare?

I am always dying on FTP test and can't stop to scroll. On last test, I was in top 2.5% but would have had to scroll through 5,000 names during the ride to see the top people (top 5,000 out of 202,000 riders). Maybe it would work to scroll a bunch after the ride?? I don't know why Peloton can't just list top performances etc.

Hate to say it, but my guess is Peloton doesn’t make a point to list it because they know it’s bogus. As someone has already noted, the old bikes (pre-Peloton+) are mechanically calibrated. The outputs vary significantly bike-to-bike, so to show a “top-10” leaderboard makes no sense. Having a leaderboard at all is a bit of a joke...

Many of us have already suggested having a Peloton+ only leaderboard view, which would be both fair and awesome, but I can understand their hesitation.
