x01tpz001 Error... Bike+

8510 Views 14 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  theo.foukkare
Exchanged my perfectly good bike for the + today and it doesn’t work- error x01tpz001!

I saw 1 other post about this and the fix didn’t work for me.

The replacement is ‘going to be awhile’, according to customer service. I’m willing to self solve... I just can’t figure it out.

Hi! I saw one poster put this on YT and toward the end she said that what worked for her was disconnecting the headphone jack and power cord from the back of the tablet. If you haven't done that already I'd give that a shot!
Hi! Thanks- saw that video too. No luck. Waiting for the new bike to arrive in December. Bummed- we were on a roll :(
Fixed it!!! Just need to swap out the USB-C cable with one I had in my drawer. Sweeeeet!!!

I’m having this same issue. Can you tell me which cable you switched? The one on the back of the tablet? Where does the other end of it feed? Help!

it’a a USB-c cable same on both ends you need about a 3 foot cable, I got one at Best Buy. Run it from the back of the screen to the plug right above the wheel.

It didn’t work either

ok I'll try this for sure (sorry it did not work for you Marcosamk!). Did you feed it through the handlebars or just loose?
Got our bike last week, doesn’t even power up. Hours troubleshooting and each rep tells me something different. To replace the bike we are looking in January! Contected power bar directly to the screen and finally screen turned on... only to get the x error. Someone needs to bring this crap to social media... it will impact stock price and then Peloton will do something!

Update: Replacing the USB-C cable absolutely did the trick for me. It's working. It means there is a loose cable hanging from the bike but I'm just happy to be able to use it with no issues!

Peloton support said they'd send out a new screen (due to arrive here tomorrow) but I'm not sure it will be necessary, or that the problem had anything to do with the tablet. If they decide to replace the bike or the cable from their end I will report back here.

Which USB cable? The one in the handle bars?
