Does anyone else find the yoga music too loud making it hard to hear the instructors? I find it very distracting.

Yesss. On the bike they let you adjust the volume of the music relative to the volume of the instructor. It would be nice if they found a way to do that for Yoga from the app as well.

How do you adjust the instructor volume? I tried it on a ride earlier today and it wasn't straightforward. It could be I wasn't paying close attention too (the ride was hard).
If you press the up or down volume buttons on the back right of the tablet on the bike there will be a pop up on the screen with three options - original mix, more music, more instructor. If you pick the second or third they will turn up the music relative to the instructors or vice versa. This feature isn't available on the app when you're not using the bike.

When I hit the vole button, I just get one overall volume setting. What do I need to do to get three options?
That option shows up on the tablet on the bike for newer rides. I don't think it shows up on other devices and for some older rides or other workouts like yoga.

Thank you! I did additional research and the classes have recorded after a certain date in 2019. I was able to get the three volume options on recent classes, but not on older ones. Thanks again.

Is this on the bike only? if its available on the app as well, where is it? thanks.
I know it's available on the bike and I think it's also on the tread. I don't think it's available on the app.

yes! I just did KM's restorative and the Bach was so loud I couldn't hear her and the music was not relaxing. Had to turn off the sound completely.

One note - there is a form on the peloton website where you can suggest features Submit a request – Peloton Support
SO DISTRACTING. I just subscribed, was really looking forward to these classes. The music is so loud, the instructors are shouting. Really unpleasant altogether. I didnt last more then a few minutes. Even if its a flow and upbeat practice it should still be able to put you in a relax mood. Really dissapointed

Yes the music is distracting. I love the yoga classes but will not sign up after my free trial if we can’t turn off the music.

A couple of months ago I found the settings to change the instructors volume relative to the music (I have a hard time hearing the instructor during bike classes) and set the instructor volume higher. But not long after that the option to set these independently seemed to disappear from my bike. I wonder if a firmware upgrade removed it? Reason I say this is because when I had the setting I was not in any class - it wasn't tied to one. It was just in the settings for the volume. I don't know if it only applied to certain classes (newer ones, for example) but the setting itself was independent of any class. Now the setting is gone.

CORRECTION TO THE ABOVE:
Although things seem to have changed since I first found independent volume settings for the instructor's voice and music, I found that what someone else wrote, above, seems correct (for bike classes at least). I checked on my next ride and found that if I used the side of the Peloton's tablet's volume buttons, while in a bike class (and this was one recorded a few days ago), it presented me with a small window that allows selections to make music louder than the instructor, leave the balance of music/instructor at the default, and make the instructor louder than the music. You cannot set how much louder one is than the other (there is no "slider" to move, just a button to select) but you can at least enhance one over the other if you want to. Someone above mentioned that this may only be available for newer recorded classes. I have not verified that so that's possibly true. But at least some, if not all, recently recorded classes have this feature available. But you can only access it, at this time, via the physical volume buttons on the side of the Peloton tablet. Not within the sound settings in the settings menu on-screen. Also, this pop-up window was not present after my class had finished and I was back at the main menu again. It was only present while I was in the bike class.

I agree! I have stopped so many of the yoga classes because the music is so distracting. Maybe I’m old-school, but I want super calming yoga music. I love heavy house for my bike, but I want calm spa music for my yoga classes. Wish we had better options.

Peloton Yoga Classes have horrible Genre of music, I hope it was instrumental and soft music
Peloton Yoga Classes have a horrible Genre of music, its a shame that we cannot watch these great classes with the annoying background music
